August Goals 2019
Nancy and girls.jpg

I wrote out my August goals on pen and paper and never looked back. I was in Nashville, TN, when it turned August 1, so I just kept beeboppin’ around doing life without realizing I never blogged them!

I’ve finished several goals so far (like Read Life Giving Home through August, attend GLS, and make serious progress on a lot of my reading), but it was actually incredibly helpful to sit down and write it all out on August 15th.

Next steps for me: Sit down with my CALENDAR and write them in. Because that’s the secret to actually doing your goals, canigetanamen?

August Goals

Read Life Giving Home through August
Re-Read Traction with Sammy Jo
Read 1/2 Coaching Habit

Order Lyndon’s Baby Book Prints
Clear all photos off my phone
Foundations in Team Building : Write re-launch plan
Schedule Workout Days into my calendar
Attend Global Leadership Summit
Go on our annual Camping Trip (WITH THREE KIDS. Hold me.)

What are some of your August Goals?

April 2019 Goals
Nancy Ray 3 Kids

I’m just going to be real : if I didn’t have this monthly goal blogpost waiting for me, I don’t think I would have made any actual goals for the month of April. Life with three kids has dominated me lately 😂. BUT, I’m thankful for the accountability here, because it forced me to stop and think ahead a little. I realized: Milly’s birthday is NEXT month! Also, we haven’t hosted a baby dedication worship service and prayer time at our house yet for Beaufort, which we did for both of the girls and it was so sweet. And I’m pretty far behind on Lyndon’s baby book, which I want to make sure I don’t neglect. I was also reminded to continue my goal of taking off social media one week once a month, which has been so great.

So as you can see, this is a place for me to process the things I want to get done. The things that matter to me, and I’m grateful for the reminder to stop, to look ahead, and be strategic with my calendar.

You’ll see my first goal is to LAUNCH THE PODCAST! What! I can’t believe it’s almost here. I’d love to hear your guesses on what the name of it will be in the comments!! I’m excited and nervous and hoping it’ll be a fun way to get some great content to you.

So leave a comment with your guess! And if you are one of my friends who I have already told : SHH. Don’t comment ;).

March Goals + Fun Friday: Podcasts I'm Loving
Goals.jpg

So, February feels like it was the fastest month of my life. Honestly, it was all a bit of a blur, and I’m still getting the hang of this mom-of-3 life. In short, it’s crazy. I’ve been a bit more brave, getting out of the house more and actually handling all 3 kids for preschool pick up and drop off by myself, which is nuts. (One day in the freezing rain. That was fun!)

I’m currently sitting at my kitchen island on February 28, all the windows are open, and the sun is shining outside. It’s exactly what I need today - after a week of freezing rain and waking up with a cold this morning, this sunshine is making me feel so alive today! Lyndon is asleep, Milly is having “quiet time,” and Beaufort is supposed to be sleeping, but instead is talking in his crib.

TBH, goals haven’t been high on my priority list these days. Making dinner, changing diapers, and feeding a baby have been. I go back to work in 2 weeks, and I’m trying to soak in every moment of these fleeting days with my sweet babies!

But I will confess: there is ONE goal I’ve been working on behind the scenes through out maternity leave, and I’m pretty excited about it!

a Podcast!

I have spent a lot of time in prayer about this, I’ve been working with my sis-in-law and bro-in-law on the sound and set up, I’ve been scheming with Sammy Jo on content. It’s been in the works since before maternity leave, but it’s been a refreshing project to get me excited to ease back into work! So stay tuned - If you are on my list, you’ll be the very first to know about it!

So as I’ve learned through my last maternity leaves, giving myself a LOT of grace for a “re-entry” into work is essential. With that in mind, here are my goals for this month!
